How To Keep Your Hair Clean For Longer

When it comes to hair cleaning, we’re all in the same boat. It is, after all, an occasion. Don’t even get me started on the laundry extensions!

Relax, I’ve got five simple suggestions for keeping your hair clean for longer

GET IT WET

Before and after showering, detangle your hair with a Wet Brush. Here’s a tip: don’t brush your hair with the same brush before and after you wash it. You’re detangling your really fresh, flawless, clean hair with the same oil-filled brush you used to disentangle your unclean locks before the shower! This will instantly dirty your clean hair, requiring you to wash it again sooner.

Two wet brushes are required (two different colors or you can label one CLEAN and one DIRTY). One should be used before the other. This will completely transform your life!

TWICE IS AWESOME

I follow the 1 for 2 guideline when it comes to shampooing. Shampoo every two days if you haven’t done so recently. Rinse, shampoo, and repeat. This guarantees that all of your “seasoned hair” has been fully washed. If done correctly, you should replace your shampoo twice as often as you replace your conditioner.

SHAMPOO DRY

Apply your dry shampoo while your hair is clean and dry, which may seem paradoxical. Instead of absorbing the oils, a little dusting can assist repel them. It also adds body to the hair and helps your style last longer. Apply the product and smooth it in with a blow dryer.

R&Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo is one of my favorites. It will last a long time at a price of around $30 and a bottle size of around 6oz. Plus, unlike other dry shampoos, the nozzle doesn’t explode out like a rocket, so it lasts a long time.

CONDITIONER

Avoid your roots when applying conditioner. Because our roots naturally moisten on their own, which is why we have “dirty issues,” I advise my customers to apply conditioner from the ears down.

SHEET! OOH SHEET!

Make use of oil blotting sheets. The sheets are designed for the face, but they also look great on hair. Rub a sheet at the roots and around the hairline. This is a fast remedy that you can make anywhere.

BONUS** Every few weeks, take that filthy Wet Brush into the shower with you. Give it a quick wash with your preferred shampoo. It’s like new!
